Znuny 7.3 is available today. This release focuses on two themes that matter most to IT teams running production service desks: security and daily efficiency. Here’s what’s new.

Single Sign-On has long been a requirement for enterprise deployments of Znuny. Until now, making it work meant configuring an external Apache module — typically mod_auth_mellon or mod_auth_kerb — correctly wiring it to your Identity Provider, and then connecting the result to Znuny's auth pipeline. It worked, but the setup was sometimes fragile, hard to document, and entirely outside Znuny itself.

You are probably waiting for the release of Znuny 7.3 – we are as well. During the development phase of 7.3, we made an important decision to improve this and all future releases: we changed the timeline for when our add-ons for new versions become available.

Almost one year has passed to this day since the actual work on Znuny 7 began. This does not include the six months of preliminary work that went into brainstorming, analysis, and prototyping.

We say goodbye to Znuny LTS 6.0 and welcome Znuny LTS 6.5.

After a long-time in the making, we are proud to release the second long-term support release for the product family Znuny. In this LTS Version, we've included new features, continued improving the code base, and delivered the most stable version of Znuny LTS.
We will provide two years of security and bug fixes for this version.

Keeping up with our release goals, we'd like to announce the second release of the Znuny 7 preview (7.0.0.2).
